Hanging up the Aprons for the season
We have decided to close Powdermills Bed and Breakfast, near Inveraray for the 2020 season. We re-opened after the Covid 19 lockdown on 16th July and have been very busy. In contrast to last year, 99% of our customers have come for the UK. This season has been another success judging by the reviews we have received on booking.com.
However, we have decided the wisest course for our guests and our own health is to close in early October due to the increasing level of Covid 19 in Scotland. The latest Scottish Government advice was that you must not make indoor social visits to other households. Whilst this does not apply Hotels and B&Bs, it does seem inappropriate for us to be welcoming guests into our home in the current situation, no matter how good our social distancing measures. Moreover, we are entering the winter and it appears that we could be entering a second wave of Covid 19 and may soon be facing another lockdown.
If we all follow the Scottish Government advice, I am sure we will be able to open for business early in 2021.
We would like to thank all our guests for their custom in 2020 and hope to see you all again in 2021.
