A Write Difference -Rebecca MacLeod

Rebecca MacLeod lives in rural Sutherland and is a mother of one. Since childhood, Rebecca has filled countless notebooks with the opening chapters of unfinished novels. She currently writes poetry and young adult fiction, particularly in the psychological thriller sub-genre. In her writing, she explores dark and gothic themes, morally grey characters, and difficult relationships.

She began studying Creative Writing BA (Hons) at UHI in 2019 and initially left in 2022 to have her son. In 2024, she returned for her honours year and now also incorporates the theme of motherhood into her writing. She has two young adult novels in progress and aims to make these her first finished stories that have developed beyond a few chapters. Aside from writing, Rebecca enjoys drawing, sewing, and going on walks with her family.
