A Write Difference – Alayah Mulholland

Alayah Mulholland asks questions that nobody has ever wanted to hear the answers to. By shining a light on notions both strange and splendiferous, she invites readers to take a closer look at their own offbeat thoughts, and to take them a step further.  

Born in Inverness in 2002, Alayah grew up with a love for reading. Now, she acts as a carer to her nana, sorting out tablets, stirring instant coffee, and forever listing out the contents of the chocolate drawer. Her lack of pets and aversion to hot drinks mark her as a thoroughly atypical writer, though her sole surviving houseplant (Brenda) acts as her writing companion (her two deceased houseplants, also named Brenda, are sorely missed). 

After years of study, months of hard work, combing through Word documents, and workshopping with her peers, Alayah is beyond pleased to share A Write Difference with the world.
